I started 'officially' house and pet sitting in 2019 although I had years of pet sitting and taking care of homes prior. My first long-term hired experience was for a 2-month sit for two beautiful purebred cats and a home in Naples, FL. It was such a great experience that I thought there must be more people who need this service That is when I came across trusted housesitters and realized it was a real thing to be able to find sits wherever I might want to spend some time, while helping people who need to spend time away, I knew it was a perfect match. This has since evolved to the idea of finding more sits right in my back yard so to speak and creating this site. Besides having pets my whole life, I have spent time with housemates' pets caring for them as well. I have cared for a large variety of breeds and personalities. So far my experiences have all been really positive. Let's be honest, we all have our favorites. I am particularly fond of cats. I like to point that out since there are many sitters who have difficulty with cats or are allergic. I bond well with dogs as well and they always end up big fans. The shy ones and the outgoing ones.
